The purpose of a movement-wide messaging guide is to create powerful shared messages that demonstrate that we are one united movement ready to win a fully-funded child care system that guarantees care for every family and good wages for providers.

By centering the people most impacted by our current child care system—namely folks who are Black, brown, Indigenous, and/or people of color; immigrants and refugees; people living with a disability; and/or folks who receive low- or no wages—we can build a new system that works for every family.
This guide was created with shared policy principles that our new child care system must be:
- Accessible
- Supportive of child care providers
- Universal and fully-funded
- Equitable
- Culturally and linguistically responsive
- Financially stable
- Built using systems design
Over 20 individuals and organizations worked together, including parents, providers, and organizers from state and national organizations. We have created seperate c3 & c4 messaging guides so that all members of our Network can be aligned on messaging.
