2026 Grassroots Assembly for Child Care

The 2026 Grassroots Assembly will take place in San Diego, California from October 9-11.

Travel Dates: 

Arrival: Friday, October 9th

Departure: Afternoon of Sunday, October 11th

Alojamiento sera proveido por la red, Child Care for Every Family Network, para cada participante.

 

Travel

We ask that travel be arranged by your organization. Travel costs will be covered by CCEFN for state partners through reimbursements. Travel costs will not be covered for additional family members traveling with attendees.

 

Interpretación

Interpretación en español será proveída simultáneamente durante el evento. Trataremos de brindar interpretación en otros idiomas.

 

Cuidado infantil

Free on-site child care will be provided for participants who are bringing their children to the event. Stipends for attendees are available on a first-come, first-served basis for participants who do not bring their children with them and need assistance financing at-home care while traveling.

 

Alimento

Las comidas serán proporcionadas por Child Care for Every Family Network para cada participante durante la programación del evento.

The Grassroots Assembly for Child Care is an annual, regional event that convenes parents, providers, caregivers, organizers, and allies committed to advancing child care as a racial, economic, and gender justice issue!

  • 2023: East Coast Grassroots Assembly in Washington, D.C.
  • 2024: Midwest Grassroots Assembly in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Leaders have the opportunity to connect, learn, build power together, and discuss strategies to move forward across states through an aligned national strategy.

 

 

Asamblea de esfuerzos comunitarios para cuidado infantil 2024

The 2024 Grassroots Assembly took place in Minneapolis, Minnesota and was cohosted by ISAIAH and Kids Count on Us.

Nearly 100 impacted families and caregivers, child care providers, organizers, and allies convened to strategize and build power together.

States represented included North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, and Indiana.
