While the bill includes modest increases for child care (CCDBG, Head Start, and Preschool Development Grants), those increases still fall far short of what’s needed to meet the scale of the child care crisis. We need to invest in child care, but we won’t accept token increases in child care funding as part of an overall budget that harms children, tears families apart, and destabilizes entire communities.
